Today’s a good makoharu day tbh

Title: No String Attached (pt. 2)

Rating: Explicit

Pairings: SouMako, MakoHaru

Warnings: sex,

Notes: I didn’t write these last time but this in an ongoing story.  It’s supposed to be a one shot but I’m posting it as I complete portions.  This is mainly me wanting to see Sousuke fuck Makoto against a wall but have jealous!Haru.  So it’s going to be SouMako until the very end.  It’s just Sousuke and Makoto having meaningless sex.  I’m sure you are all very offended.

"makoharu isn’t abusive!"

Alright I understand you love your “precious baby” so much, but honestly here.

Makoto Tachibana legit told Haruka Nanase he shouldn’t go with Rin to Australia because “we love you so much,” and that Haru must have something wrong with himself for wanting to go to Australia.

That is honestly the most emotionally manipulative shit I’ve seen in a LONG time and it doesn’t help at all that people were complaining about Haru hurting Makoto’s feelings. As if Haru wanting to do something that doesn’t involve his friends is unorthodox and he was in the wrong to do something he wants.

are you fucking kidding me? makoto said that he was worried about haru’s future and then he proceeded to tell him that they - him, nagisa and rei - were worried about him because they love him. at this point in time, neither makoto nor haru know that next episode haru and rin are going to australia.

stop changing what happened xoxoxo

Except there’s a huge difference between politely telling someone you’re worried for their possible negative choice and flat out saying there’s something wrong with them for wanting to do something?

It seems the near 45 people who saw this post as wrong are in the mindset Makoto’s conversation to Haru was innocent, even possibly caring in that he doesn’t want his friend to leave. But the problem is that the scene was written in such a way to where Makoto comes off as nowhere near to caring, but rather trying to manipulate Haru into staying; or at least so manipulative people have been taught for years that behavior is “romantic”. Well it isn’t.

Haru in the episode states that, “Where I swim and who I swim for, I’m free to decide that for myself!” after being told by his friend that going to Australia is wrong and that he HAS TO stay in Japan to swim for Iwatobi, rather than SHOULD. Makoto’s line that should’ve come off as a worried “It may not be the best decision to go with Rin,” instead sounds like he’s telling Haru he has no position to swim for anyone but Iwatobi because “they all love him” and something even along the lines of “there’s something wrong with you”?! How can that not sound manipulative as crap?! He’s essentially trying to make Haru feel guilty for finally wanting to do something by himself; like Haru breaking away from his friends implies he’s done something wrong.

I understand Makoto has been built as sort of this “parental figure” in Free so whatever he says is supposed to come off sweet and humble, but I know character flaws when I see them: Makoto felt selfish and didn’t want to give up Haru to Rin. It might be out of a love for him, but it’s a possessive love. Call me biased towards the fan-favorite, but that’s my two cents.

Frankly, the writers were too nice to him to convienently later write Haru wanting to go to Tokyo with him. If my friend said something like that to me, you wouldn’t believe how fast I would dump them out of my life!

Update: It appears now people are saying my entire line of logic is wrong because Makoto wasn’t aware Haru was planning a trip to Austrailia, rather it was that Haru wanted to attend a university in Tokyo. First off, that in no way derails anything I said prior; Haru wanted to do something, Makoto said “No you’re wrong stay with us so we won’t be sad,” end of story. A location mix-up doesn’t change that fact.

Actual quote by Haruka Nanase directed to Makoto Tachibana: “All you ever do is meddle with everyone! Stop sticking your nose in everyone else’s business!

What Makoto said to Haru was wrong: He could’ve explained his worry in any other way and it would’ve expressed the concern he has for Haru, but instead he chose to manipulate Haru into thinking wanting to go Tokyo, (there!!! I got the location right!! Happy now?!), is wrong because he’ll make everyone upset. He’s deliberately telling Haru his sense of individuality hurts others for the sake of keeping Haru around

Makoto isn’t perfect, despite what the show has lead up to prove. He did something selfish, why is it so hard for you guys to accept a fictional character did something wrong?

everything you’re posting is a complete joke. i’m just going to reblog it and not say anything lmao

What the hell am I looking at???????

Anime-Alley storenvy has been brought to my attention in that they are selling my free! artwork off as charms WITHOUT my permission. This is really appalling, I have been forced to remove my illustration off all sites or edit a large watermark over it to protect my work since I simply cannot trust the community not to pull this sort of crap.

It’s common sense not to steal what does not belong to you. It is not the artists fault for wanting to share their work only to have them ripped off by people without a shred of decency. (Do not blame the shopkeeper for what the thief does).

After a bit of digging by my friend and I we found a lot of their items may also have been stolen from various artists and official artwork. PLEASE check if your artwork has also been stolen or if you can recognize the artists. I can absolutely attest that they stole my work and used without permission, and the fact that some of the items (particularly their Free! -Pic-Lil! - Pic-Lil! trading strap) are being sold at super cheap prices when they are very rare and expensive to obtain officially in Japan should alarm you.

Please do not support their thievery and profit of other people’s work and cheap imitation of official merchandize. Their products are also shoddy and poor in quality as seen in the photos.

If you can reblog this post, I would really appreciate this information being spread. Apparently they can be found at conventions and I’m just disappointed to know that they could be selling stolen artwork.

If you can email storenvy with a link to this post, or with any other information you have found to have their storefront taken down permanently that would be great. I do not want them to just simply take down my item and walk away with stealing other people’s work again, then nothing would be solved. Thank you so much.
